Aspiration
Our children are taught to be aspirational. We recognise that we all start at different levels and we can all move beyond the limits that we may set for ourselves if we work hard and develop the confidence to take risks in our learning. We want our children to dream big and achieve success in everything they do. At Wold Newton, children are taught to see beyond their immediate thoughts and ideas and start to imagine what could be possible.
Our children perform at an extremely high standard in sport. In 2020, we even had one of our children earn first place in the sports personality category for the area sports partnership.
We want our children to realise that they can be anything they want to aspire to be. We organise visits from people in different careers from engineers to artists to show the children what they could do if they wanted to in the future.
Our children go on a two night residential to Robinwood and push themselves to the max. They go beyond any limits they may have set themselves and encourage each other to raise their expectations of what they can do.
In 2020, our key stage 2 football team won the local finals and got through to the third round in the Humberside League - they worked together so well and showed everyone what Wold Newton children can do.
